Introduction of Alpinestars Gloves

The company started out way back in 1963 in Italy and started off making hiking and ski boots. They moved swiftly on to making boots for motocross racing. In the 1990’s the company really moved on and branched out into making protective  Alpinestars jackets and Alpinestars gloves which we all know and have come to love today. You can also get a full leather suit for racing which is a bit pricey but it’s well worth the money if you can afford it. Personally I’ve got a few pairs of gloves and that’s about as far as the budget can stretch at the moment. I do have my eyes on a cool pair of Alpinestars Gloves and a leather jacket. One amazing fact I found out today is that Alpinestars used to make brand mountain bikes but unfortunately stopped production in 1996. They make amazing motocross gear so I can only imagine how wonderful the mountain bikes would have been. I wonder if they still sell them on Ebay. Worth a look later.
Anyway Alpinestars have offices in Tokyo and Los Angeles and of course they have a strong presence in Italy. Most of the research and development still takes place in Italy. The brand is today worn by MotoGP World Champions Nicky Hayden and Casey Stoner so if you ever were in any doubt about the quality of Alpinestars gloves then that should set your mind at ease. Nicky Hayden wears the famous Alpinestars GP Tech gloves if you’re looking the buy the same pair. He’s also been known to wear the Alpinestars GP Pro gloves. The equipment is also used in Formula One and NASCAR with recent champions Fernando Alonso and Jimmie Johnson helping to develop the gear such as gloves, footwear, Nomex suits and even underwear. You can appreciate how fast these guys are going in their vehicles and so safety is one of the key features. This is where Alpinestars gloves and equipment really excel especially with the motorcycle gloves.

Motorcycle helmet safety rules

When we talk about motorcycle safety, the first, the first thought of a helmet. When we talk about the helmet that the only reason for us to wear it is to protect the unfortunate situation in the first accident. But most people missed the fact that motorcycle helmets can not only provide the security of any accident, also helps riders in many different ways.
• motorcycle helmets also help in cold conditions by maintaining the body's core temperature. It is able to do the entire face and ears, nose, closure of the main stays, etc., do not have to face chilly winds.
• In hot conditions, to keep the sun from shining directly to security, to prevent sunburn.
• Despite the rainy conditions should not ride a motorcycle, motorcycle helmets allow riders to do so. Since water does not directly hit in the face, road visibility than riding without a helmet.
• more than protect a rider, a helmet, for riders, their bikes and riding style can add to the overall appearance of the image of the person riding a bicycle was the fact that the other.
There is no reason to buy a motorcycle helmet issue, it will always do what it does best, get the protection of drivers in the event of an accident the last barrier.
Ride a motorcycle most important role in his own driver. A good rider to stay alert, and able to anticipate and avoid any mistakes, and ride. They may be considered highly skilled or really lucky, never had no effect on their helmets through to save their lives. However, this does not mean they do not helmet use.
Helmets to play different roles, these roles can be:
While riding •, we can control how we ride a bike. However, we can not control or error in the air flying insects. While riding at high speed, if a driver collided with insects, especially around the face or eyes, the rider will lose control. Protection of shade or screen guard players from these conditions.
Good bar, motorcycle helmets are so many benefits, we should always wear out, which is to protect the interests of your life the best way.

Motorcycle helmet quality inspection

.
I think we all know that riding a motorcycle is a very exciting thing. Riding a motorcycle is a very liberal one thing is not binding. But sometimes you do not forget to ride a motorcycle during the day as the impact of air and wind speed, more dust, debris, debris, insects and car exhaust fumes, affect your eyes, do a good job protection measures, is to learn The first thing to do on a motorcycle, regardless of the extreme cold and hot weather you should pay attention to wear motorcycle helmets, and colored glasses, the fight against outside interference for you. So you better drive motorcycles. Reduce unnecessary injuries and accidents. These are the points to note:
A high-performance choice of a good helmet:
Hub of the nerves in the head to control every part of your body, so people riding a motorcycle helmet is the most important piece of protective equipment. Do not slack to cope, to properly use it, not too tight or too loose will affect your mind when you ride, make you distracted. Second you have to choose more appropriate and comfortable helmet, try to go to some shop to buy equipment, there are helmet safety and quality certification, to provide instructions to wear. It is a basic requirement. See the material against the third anti-collision situation, to choose a time, squeezing his hands toward the middle of the helmet to see will not be deformed. Followed by a style and your budget to go buy your own. Must be selected excellent quality of the helmet, so that every time you ride a motorcycle crash will not be debris, dust, interference, and noise pollution. Make your bicycle journey more enjoyable. Have to mention here a very good helmet, scorpion helmet, with its known safety helmet, we can go boldly to buy!
Eye Protection:
When you do not wear a helmet when, do not forget to bring a colored glasses, the eyes are riding your field of vision must be protected, we do not see a blind man would ride, protect your eyes and let it from the air the intrusion of the sand, or outside of your small high-speed debris on the pressure of your eyes is very big, enough to make your eyes are affected, so you will not be moving to a very dangerous situation, so that you now know see the obstacles, so you better drive.
Winter cycling special attention:
Extreme winter cold, wearing a proper motorcycle jacket is necessary, it is best full leather clothes, it's better scalability, more flexibility to make your move, if you encounter a rainy day you wearing all skin, anti-wind tide is necessary, where you do not forget to wear gloves and a pair of motorcycle boots sturdy cylinder is a very cool thing.

New features of Alpinestars SP-1

The main difference I have noticed with the Alpinestars motorcycle gloves is with the finish. Incidentally these gloves are also marketed as Alpinestars gloves just in case you were wondering they are the same thing! So the finish, compared to the Alpinestars gloves or Alpinestars GP Tech gloves the finish is a bit cheap. You may find that there are long threads hanging or the leather has not quite been cut to the fit you would expect. I guess Alpinestars can get away with it since its been marketed as a mid range glove. If you can live with the inferior finish then there is no reason not to buy these gloves. They will provide you with an excellent level of protection and come at a fantastic price. The cheapest I have seen the Alpinestars SP1 gloves are about $100 and its a great bargain at that price.

Alpinestars gloves are also on the market. You’ll also find them listed as Alpinestars SP-2 gloves and are very similar to the SP1 model but are even cheaper.

The SP-1 range also come in Alpinestars gloves Stella SP-1 format which is directed completely at the female market. It’s touted as having a cut specifically to fit a ladies hand and so it will fit much better.

Alpinestars SP-1 Gloves

Most of the Alpinestars gloves I have looked at so far have been pretty much at the top of the range. I hope I haven’t scared anyone off with the cost of these gloves. There are so called mid ranged biking gloves out there if that’s what you’re after. I know not everyone has $300 to spend on a pair of gloves so if you’re looking for that Alpinestars quality but your budget doesn’t quite stretch that far how about going for the Alpinestars gloves? They are aimed at general road use, you won’t catch any of the big named MotoGP stars using them but then hey how many of us are going to get to that level? Not me I know that much! Don’t let the ‘mid-range’ tag full you into thinking that you’re buying an inferior product though. They are stunning looking gloves and will provide you with an exceptionally high level of protection no matter what type of vehicle you’re on.

The Alpinestars motorcycle gloves are constructed from leather and the thickness of the leather varies from point to point on the gloves. Obviously the areas which require most protection have the thickest area of leather. Kevlar is also present which acts as additional abrasion resistance for that top quality protection. The knuckles are made up of carbon fiber and carbon fiber sliders are also present and correct on the fingers. As standard on the Alpinestars gloves these days is the ventilation holes to let a little air in to your hands for those long summer rides. These are present on the fingers and the wrist area. The wrist gauntlet is also rather familiar as it is the standard dual Velcro closure. The fit of these gloves is excellent and comes in various different sizes so you should find a pair to suit your needs. It is possible to get small Alpinestars gloves as I know this is a common query especially with the Alpinestars Alloy Gloves.

Scorpion Urban Destroyer Helmet

(Lake Forest, CA May 17, 2010) - It is survival of the fittest in the urban jungle, so Scorpion Helmets has decided to cry havoc and let slip with the latest Scorpion EXO-1000 helmet  protection system: The Urban Destroyer! Designed to keep streetfighters cool no matter how hot the action gets this summer, the Destroyer jacket starts with a vented poly mesh shell, bolstered by fully ventilated CE-approved body armor at the elbows and shoulders.
The poly mesh shell also gets ballistic nylon panels in the high impact areas for when you are in a tight scrape, not to mention the fact that the Urban Destroyer also has your back, literally. There is a full-length back protector compartment, complete with a P.E. foam pad in place. Internally, a lightweight perforated liner makes for maximum air flow.
Additional refinements include two generous hand warmer pockets as well as an interior storage pocket. Reflective trim has been incorporated on the arms and back of the jacket for improved nighttime visibility. Dual waist-adjustment snaps and Velcro® arm adjustment tabs help keep the jacket or sleeves from flapping at triple digit speeds. The Urban Destroyer jacket comes in a basic black, bright blue or vivid red, ranging in size from S up through XXL.
Capping things off are the matching scorpion-exo-400 Urban Destroyer helmets. Featuring an advanced polycarbonate composite construction, the shell's aero-tuned design has been wind-tunnel tested to ensure things stay quiet inside when all hell is breaking loose outside. The SpeedShift® quick-change shield system makes for simple, tool-less faceshield changes in less than 10 seconds. Speaking of shields,  Scorpion Helmets optically correct faceshields are treated with anti-scratch hardened coating and the exclusive EverClear® no-fog technology. Although the destroyed urban environment graphics look killer, these lids will not lay waste to your wallet as the EXO-400 retails for right around $159.95.

Scorpion EXO-1000 review -- Part6

Here we go again: the <a href="http://x-ck.com/products/scorpion-exo-1000-air-bug-matte-black" title="Scorpion EXO-1000">Scorpion EXO-1000</a> comes with what I guess is now a marketing "must have" feature, the internal sun shade.

These devices are a good idea with, so far, very poor implementations, in our opinion. They add too much weight; the rotating mechanisms are usually cranky; they don't rotate down far enough to lower out of the rider's line of sight; the bottoms have weird curves and nose cut-outs (anyone with a nose that big would be wearing an open-face  <a href="http://www.x-ck.com/blogs/scorpion-helmets" title="scorpion helmet">scorpion helmet</a> anyway); they don't always have infinite positioning (on or off only) and, to top it off, they're usually not dark enough to block the sun anyway, probably because of liability concerns.

How about this, manufacturers: make a very dark or opaque internal face shield that can be pulled down manually about 25 mm and is cut straight across? That's all you'd need to keep the sun out of your eyes when riding west on a summer's afternoon.

Score: I'm sure some will argue, just as they do with our fondness for D-rings, but I'll rate the internally rotating sun face shield as "Poor". If you don't agree, no problem, but I'm just not a big fan of these things -- yet.

Alpinestars Motorcycle Gloves

Alpinestars Motorcycle Gloves
The Alpinestars motorcycle gloves "Storm Rider" were recommended by several webBikeWorld visitors and other local riders as a popular favorite, so we added them to the list for this comparison.
Alpinestars doesn't actually claim that the Storm Rider Gore-Tex gloves are for winter; in fact, they state that the Storm Rider "is a lightweight riding glove, ideal for touring and sport riding, even in cold weather".
I'm not sure I'd call them "lightweight", and they're not the warmest glove in this comparison, but I have to admit a growing admiration for them and I can see why they're so popular.
The warmest weather of summer may be a bit much for them; likewise the coldest depths of winter, but otherwise I think they would be an excellent choice for nearly all-year-round use, especially here in the Mid-Atlantic, where winter shouldn't be as cold as it has been recently.
Alpinestars makes a wide variety of high-quality motorcycle clothing and they have a strong reputation with motorcyclists around the world, and it looks like a lot of their experience went into the design of the Storm Rider gloves.
But you'll pay for 'em; the Storm Riders are tied with the Rev'it Tempest H2O gloves as the most expensive in this comparison.

Alpinestars motorcycle gloves--Gore-Tex

Alpinestars has you ready for any weather without sacrificing feel at the bars when you're wearing their waterproof 365 Drystar gloves. The breathable Gore-Tex X-Trafit membrane located under the outer leather chassis makes them an excellent choice for sunny weather as well - hence the 365 moniker. That's because Gore-Tex's X-Trafit liners permit the construction of a close-fitting glove that exhibits excellent tactile feel yet, is durable enough to withstand the rigors of the road-going rider. In other words, the 365 Gore-Tex glove's waterproof and breathable construction doesn't make your hands feel like they're surrounded by a garbage bag just to keep you dry. Except for a slightly thicker feel on top of the Alpinestars glove, the 365' isn't much different than other Alpinestars motorcycle gloves. The knuckles are covered by a solid PU protector and additional EVA padding is sewn into the leather above the fingers and on the thumb. The palm has an additional layer of synthetic suede attached in critical areas to impart extra abrasion resistance and Alpinestars uses their patented 3rd & 4th finger bridge to prevent painful finger damage in a crash. A long gauntlet makes sealing these waterproof gloves over your jacket's sleeves easy, further aiding their bad weather usefulness. All of this is available in a leather motorcycle glove that provides excellent dexterity and safety.

We really appreciate tips from other riders. If you would like to add a tip to this list, feel free to send it to us using our contact form.
If a manufacturer has taken the trouble to design a motorcycle glove with safety features it is highly unlikely that a wrist strap is not included. (give it a quick check)
Just make sure that the padding and glove liners don't hinder your feel of the controls.
An important tip is to be happy about the usability. You really have to get used to bigger, fatter fingers on the controls (just make sure they are not too fat).
If your gloves are well waterproofed you don't need rain gloves.
Use a motorcycle glove chart size so you can check which size you need.
Check out how the glove is stitched together. You will get extra cold hands if water can come in through the stitches.

Motorcycle Gloves Review Tips & Checks

Motorcycle Glove Tips Sent in by Visitors

Motorcycle Gloves Review Tips & Checks

Before you continue, decided in what kind of weather you are going to be using your mc gloves. Now here are some tips and checksfor motorcycle gloves review.
Comfort
A motorcycle glove should be the right size. Since you are using your hands all the time, gloves with the wrong size will be a bother. Big gloves will start to wrap around the bar. Too small will annoy your fingers.
Construction
Most gloves are ergonomically formed. Just watch the rain glove because sometimes it's just two halves sewn together. Gloves are nearly always made up of leather or very strong nylon. Leather provides the highest safety if you hit the ground.
Furthermore a glove should have reinforcements such as extra padding on the knuckles and palms. Special features are carbon shells covering high impact areas. Or little metal studs on the palms to avoid scraping open your hands.
Lining
Some gloves allow you to take out the lining for a wash, which is an extra benefit after about 2000 miles! You can also get glove liners separate which can be an extra advantage if you want to warm up your medium weight gloves, for example.
Extensions
Often summer gloves don't have them but all others do. It's the part which goes over your sleeve to avoid wind blowing in your jacket. A disadvantage is that rain can run down your sleeve and into your glove. Still the advantage is better, just tuck away the glove extensions under your jacket during the rain.
Water resistant
Should gloves be water resistant? Yes I say. These days all the material is so high-tec that a good glove should also keep out water. You pay a bit more but it saves you buying rain mc gloves. Watch for this benefit in gloves. Manufacturers will definitely tell you about it.
Insulation
Apart from a good lining the wind will influence the temperature of your hands big time. Wind creeps in where the glove is stitched together, often at your fingertips. The same place that is so hard for your body to keep warm.
Wrist strap
Straps can be made from Velcro or a simple button clip system. They improve the comfort of a glove.
Gloves are designed for a particular hand size. A wrist strap makes sure the glove holds its ergonomically formed design. This also ensures that all extra safety padding is in the right place.

Motorcycle Gloves Review Tips & Checks
        How to Review Motorcycle Gloves?
Gloves are your best remedy against road rash.So please get yourself some easy protection.
This Glove Guide shows you how to select quality Gloves plus you will find links to motorcycle apparel discounts, glove brands & motorcycle directories.

      Motorcycle Gloves Introduction

      Motorcycle gloves

Summer gloves are often no more that thin leather gloves without a lining and hardly any water resistance. It's best to consider having gloves made of leather as it's the safest (for example cycling gloves would be shredded in the event of a fall).
    Alpinestars motorcycle gloves

There are two types, with and without fingers. (without might be comfy but you're not driving a car) If you ride in extreme sunny/hot conditions perforations in your gloves (for cooling) can give you a nasty sunburn.
      Motorcycle medium weight gloves

(racing gloves / summer gloves)
Medium weight is between summer and winter gloves and most riders have these. Some are lined, some aren't. These days they have special protection areas and are really comfortable. You can get them in all sorts and styles.
      Motorcycle winter gloves

Much thicker than medium weight gloves. Really made to keep your hands warm during colder weather. They will often have to handle rain too (just make sure they can, otherwise they are worthless).
      Motorcycle rain gloves
Often no more than a plastic covering to keep the rain out. I'm not such a fan of them. They can get slippery on the controls, get bulky and I don't like glove over glove. However rain gloves are often quite cheap and easy to carry along.

The features of Alpinestars GP Pro Gloves

The features of Alpinestars GP Pro Gloves

One of my favorite type of Alpinestars gloves on the market is undoubtedly the GP Pro. Alpinestars GP Pro gloves are worn by various MotoGP and World Superbike champions such as Casey Stoner, Ben Spies, Nicky Harden and of course Noriyuki Haga. With a line up like that you know these gloves are serious quality. The GP Pro gloves differ slightly from the Alpinestars motorcycle gloves in that they use full-grain leather for most of the glove. Almost the entire outer construction is made from full-grain leather rather than kangaroo leather. The interesting part comes in the wrist area. GP Pro gloves have injection molded polyurethane plastic in the wrist which gives first class protection to the wearer. This runs all the across the length of the wrist. The wrist gauntlet also contains the sturdy material as well as the knuckle and finger protectors. You’re in safe hands wearing these gloves.
Further protection is given to the wearer by the use of Kevlar knit material in the top lining of the glove. Abrasion-resistant Pittards Armor-Tan leather is used in the most serious of areas. There is additional abrasion armor provided by Schoeller Keprotect material which is use inside the glove at the palm area as well as the wrist flap. The palm and thumb area features synthetic suede layers in the areas where you grip the steering wheel or bike. This stops your hands from getting blisters in the more extreme drives. The GP Pro gloves are of course provided with perforated leather panels to give your fingers some ventilation for hotter conditions. The ring finger and little finger are joined together by a bridge to prevent finger roll-over exactly the same as the GP Tech gloves.

Alpinestars GP Pro, fit your hands!

Alpinestars GP Pro, fit your hands!

The fit of these Alpinestars gloves is described as being ’snug’ although I haven’t heard as many reports with sizing issues with the GP Tech gloves. Suppliers tend to recommend buying GP Tech gloves in a size smaller than normal but there is no such recommendation with the GP Pro gloves. GP Tech gloves sizing issues exist! Although don’t knock them, if Fernando Alonso uses these gloves then you can’t write them off!
The control and feel of the GP Pro gloves are excellent so you won’t feel like you have to break them in. They will no doubt loosen off a bit during wearing. GP Pro gloves may stretch during wear but you have options such as the wrist strap with which to adjust the fit and make sure they are a good fit on your fingers.
I have heard a few complaints about the leather bridge used to join the pinky and ring finger but that can easily be remedied by cutting the bridge that ties the two fingers together. I wouldn’t recommend doing this unless you’re seriously unsatisfied with your Alpinestars gloves. It is a safety feature after all so it is there for your protection. I’m not sure if this feature is present in the mid-range Alpinestars motorcycle gloves maybe one of you guys can help me out with that one?

Buying guides of Alpinestars GP Pro

Buying guides of Alpinestars GP Pro

The GP Pro gloves are available in lots of different colors and size which should suit everyone’s needs. The colors on offer are black/white, grey/white, blue/white, and red/white. The sizes available are-3XL. As with all Alpinestars gloves ’d recommend you visit a retailer and try them on before buying to ensure they fit. The suggested retail price is $229.95. You could always go for used Alpinestars gloves on Ebay to save a bit of cash. The great thing about the GP Pro gloves is the variety of colors and sizes which is great if you have small hands. It should also be a consideration for the female bikers out there who are looking for gloves that fit a bit better than normal. It is possible to get woman’s Alpinestars gloves so please do not buy gloves that don’t have the desired fit.
In conclusion, the Alpinestars motorcycle gloves are one of the best models out there. You’ll find numerous Alpinestars GP Pro gloves reviews out there which all are complimentary. The only downside is the cost. If you want some serious protection for your driving experience the look no further.

Aaron Twite is one of the select few: from his home turf in the US, to sessions and competitions in Europe, even bringing his unique style to countries of Asia. Aaron Twite came on to the streetbike freestyle scene strong, immediately taking top qualifying spots in US and World competitions, while simultaneously introducing new tricks to the sport.

Maddie Wilhite - Sponsored by Scorpion Helmets

  Hometown: Conway AR

Background: Maddie Wilhite is 15 years old. She has raced Jr. Dragsters since she was 8 years old. She wanted to switch to the Scorpion helmet line, because in drag racing, a lot of events run late into the night, with dew falling, high humidity, and sitting on the starting line, with the visor down, is no time for the visor to fog up. She is the current 2010 Centerville dragway points champion, and has 4 wins, two runner ups, and 5 semi final finishes at Centerville Dragway, Prescott Raceway, and Tulsa Raceway Park.

Tips In Buying The Right Motorcycle Helmet

Tips In Buying The Right Motorcycle Helmet

Although most people do not actually consider them as essentials and will in fact buy them last, motorcycle helmets are one of the most important accessories when you have a motorcycle. In fact, state laws have included the wearing of Scorpion motorcycle helmets. This, lawmakers say, will be able to prevent major injuries should accidents happen. Helmets protect the person from suffering from head injuries that are potentially dangerous and even fatal. Passengers are even asked to wear helmets especially when cruising at high speeds.

Below are some tips that will help you buy the right motorcycle helmet.

1. Does it meet the DOT standard?

Before buying a helmet, make sure that what you have chosen meets with the criteria set by the Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 218. You can determine this by looking for the symbol of the DOT on the Scorpion helmet.

You will also find a label inside the helmet that provides you with essential information about the helmet such as the manufacturer’s name, the year and the month the helmet was manufactured, the model number, the size of the helmet, the materials used for its construction and of course some information about the company. Make sure that both the logo and the label is present.

Womens motorcycle gloves

Womens motorcycle gloves will generally pair best with a summer riding outfit, offering the perfect blend of protection and breathability. Ladies short cuff gloves are getting a lot more attention from top-of-the-line manufacturers which is resulting in better fit and function. The needs of the woman rider have been grossly overlooked for years in the Motorcycle Gloves, so we're happy to see the shift taking place as companies such as REV'IT!, Dainese and Alpinestars gloves more time to tailoring products to women. RevZilla's selection of ladies short gloves offers a variety of comfort and protection with different materials like mesh and leather. If you need any help with sizing or choosing the best womens Alpinestars motorcycle glove to match your needs, please feel free to contact us.

Scorpion EXO-1000 helmet

As I said, the Scorpion EXO 1000 Helmet is absolutely chocked with features. First and foremost is the long-hyped HelmetPump design that had the buzz for this helmet going well before its release. Beyond that, you've got the trio of Scorpion features: the SpeedShift quick-change shield system, allowing you to swap out shields without tools in ten seconds or less; the EverClear fog-free faceshield with a scratch resistant coating; and the KwikWick antimicrobial removable washable moisture-wicking liner. The ventilation system is fully adjustable and will keep your head nice and cool (couple with the moisture-wicking liner) at long distance rides.

One of the newest motorcycle helmet offerings from Scorpion, the Scorpion EXO-1000 helmet continues their trend of packing a ton of next-level features into a reasonably-priced premium helmet. Easy open/close vents are located at the brow, the chin, and the top of the head with a large open/close exhaust vent at the back of the head for venturi effect airflow. This is without question a premium touring helmet. It's also DOT & Snell certified. The EXO1000 is designed to be ridden in the upright position for long distances, and will flow a great deal of air, making it a great premium touring motorcycle helmet option.

Everyone remembers those shoes from the 80s and 90s that you could pump up for a perfect custom fit. They've integrated that technology into the helmet and it works spectacularly: the cheek pads and neckroll inflate for a snug fit, and at the end of the ride a release button deflates for easy on/off. The next biggie on this helmet is the retractable internal sun visor system. The SpeedView Visor, as Scorpion calls it, eliminates the need to change shields when the sun comes out or fumble for a pair of sunglasses.

Scorpion helmets- Obviously we are a fan of Icon taking notice of the growing popularity of the super-motard and dual sport crowd. The Variant tweaks the shape of the standard sportbike helmet and adds the nice touch of the styled visor to the crown. Don't be fooled though, this helmet is built for stability and everyday riding on the street, despite its crossover good looks. The Scorpion helmetscomes in blue red and silver in the graphic style (pictured). It also comes in 5 solid Icon Variant styles including the rubberized flat "Rubatone" black.

Scorpion EXO-750 Vintage

The upgrades over the EXO-700 are what really sets this helmet apart. They integrated their AirFit helmet pump system, which is a push-button mechanism that inflates the cheek pads and neckroll to provide the snuggest, safest and most comfortable and secure fit. At the push of a second button, it quickly deflates and is easy to remove. Next, they upgraded the shell to meet ECE 22.05 certification, an upgraded safety standard in Europe. The last major upgrade is the locking shield mechanism, a switch on the side of the helmet that pulls the shield flush to the shell ensuring no wind or water can penetrate.

Scorpion EXO-750 Eternity

We think this helmet stacks up extremely well against similarly-priced helmets. It packs in a ton of features that you generally don't see in other helmets in this range. To see what the EXO-750 competes with, check out our Sportbike Helmets segment at RevZilla.com

Scorpion Helmets EXO-750

Scorpion Helmets EXO-750

Scorpion Helmets, innovative since they came through the gates about five years ago, took the excellent design of their mid-level EXO-700 sportbike helmet, made significant upgrades and rolled out the Scorpion EXO-750 Helmet. Scorpion continues to impress us with the level of technicality they are able to pack into helmets that come in at the sub-$300 price point and the EXO-750 stays true to this. It is a great choice for the sportbike rider looking for a lid that offers excellent performance, ventilation, stability and comfort.
Built with a Fiberglass/Kevlar Matrix shell, the EXO-750 is wind-tunnel tested for aerodynamics and offers an extremely stable and quiet ride. The chin bar is lined with EPS, an extremely rigid and resilient closed-cell foam that provides added protection. Of course, there is the trifecta of Scorpion stock features: the KwikWick removable washable moisture-wicking liner that breathes extremely well and provides excellent comfort; the EverClear fog-free faceshield, which is optically correct and treated with an anti-scratch hardened coating; and the SpeedShift quick-change shield system, one of the simplest shield change mechanisms we've seen which requires a simple quarter-turn of a knob on either side and the shield pops right off.

Alpinestars

Alpinestars makes a LOT of different gear for motorcycle riders and racers. In fact, they also make a large selection of leather and textile gloves. But we are going to review only ALPINESTARS “LEATHER” MOTORCYCLE GLOVES.

Alpinestars leather motorcycle gloves contain short gloves, for street riding, touring or everyday commuting, as well as 3/4 gloves, which are a compromise between the longest sports gloves and their short gloves.

Some of their short gloves feature perforated leather for maximum air-flow, as well as abrasion-resistant palms, which, combined together, offer excellent warm-weather performance.

For Alpinestars top-of-the-line leather gloves, you'll see their full-length, full protection, sport/racing gloves, which feature superior knuckle protection, precurved fingers (for better fit and tactile feel), along with their very best leather protec
